The International Labour Organization (ILO) holds the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28 to promote the prevention of workplace accidents, injuries, and disease. The theme for 2013 is “The Prevention of Occupational Diseases.” To read more about the ILO World Day for Safety and Health at Work, click here.
In Canada, April 28 also marks the National Day of Mourning, commemorating workers who have been injured, suffer disease, or have lost their lives at work.
This International Women’s Day, the OCRC is recognizing the important contributions women make in the Ontario workforce.
