The OCRC's mission is to enhance understanding of the health effects of hazardous occupational exposures, and use this knowledge to support improvements in occupational disease prevention and compensation.
The Occupational Disease Surveillance System (ODSS) monitors disease risks among Ontario workers.
Burden estimates help raise awareness, highlight priority areas for prevention, and direct attention to industries, occupations, and exposures where the greatest impact can be achieved.
