Karin has focused her research career on studying the unequal burden of disease across populations, examining factors such as newcomer status, race and ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. Karin was OCRC’s first full-time employee, and takes special interest in the involvement of the diverse funders, partners and broad stakeholder community in the shaping of the Centre’s activities. Though she currently works on a variety of surveillance and etiologic projects, she is particularly interested in how socioeconomic factors may put workers at increased cancer risk.
